Hi. I am new here. Am a proud Dutch-American new business owner and I loudly confess that there is no platform in this world that ticks all buttons like Amazon does. At least to me. I have been reading quite a lot of research on this website and on other sites, about customer centricity, its effects, and benefits for businesses, and about the world’s leading companies in customer centricity.
Jeff Bezos built his kingdom based on Amazon’s customers’ needs, and I seriously witness that in every step of my online order’s journey, my customer experience is always very pleasant and smooth. From the moment I start surfing the app in search of my goods, to payment mode, delivery tracking, delivery status, after sale experience, to complaints handling if ever there are any.
Amazon is really amazing when it comes to customer service. I would always give it 5 fat golden stars and a big blue smile, every single time!
What about you?

Wow! That’s a big statement. I agree with you to a certain extent. I mean there are very good platforms worldwide and locally. It depends on one’s needs and preferences. But in general Amazon is good with customers.
Not for me. 3 times I had to return orders back because of false description, size, color etc. I still stick to Cdiscount for most of my online purchases.
which part of the world is it? How was the after sale and the refund process?
France. Honestly speaking they refunded the money immediately and every time I received a call with an apology etc. Their customer service is very professional and friendly but after my frustrating experience I learned my lesson.
Thank you 😊
Same here. Cdiscount it is, pour moi aussi! I prefer to encourage local businesses.
LOL like my mother says. I don’t mind as long as am getting what I am paying for.
My wife is the same. She orders everything from Amazon. Every week we receive 2-3 deliveries. My wife says you are totally right!
our wife is always right 😉
We ordered once books from Amazon and the delivery box arrived damaged. One of the books inside was also damaged. My wife called to complain, and they delivered a new box including all 5 books without taking back the damaged box and books. The same lady from customer service called us twice to make sure we received the box and books in great condition. To me that was it. I started buying everything for the kids from Amazon.
I know! How amazing is that?
You are right. The same happened with my mom. She ordered a nice silver set for granny and it arrived missing one earring. The customer service apologized very professionally and asked if we need the replacement the same day. Mom said yes as it was granny’s 94th B-day. And OMG, the same day Amazon delivered a new set and didn’t take the old set back. These guys are awesome! ♥
Totally agree 👍
I find the brand image struggling a bit in countries where Amazon storages/logistics are restricted. Some countries, to protect their own local brands, have some sort of tight restrictions on Amazon and delivery is usually handled by a third party that Amazon can not control. It happened with us in a European country, but Amazon staff made sure to track the delivery process to identify where the problem was and raise it with the third-party management. We also got a replacement for the damaged packages in 48hrs.
I mean Amazon has become an empire because of their attention to details and extra care when it comes to customers needs. I fully respect that. Now a few people might have issues with some of the company’s back of house management but hey every business has its own things to deal with.
As far as am concerned as a customer, I also give it a 5/5.
😊😊😊 Well said. All businesses have their own stories behind doors. As a customer, from what I witness every single time I raise an order, no other platform could beat Amazon.
There are plenty of good E-Commerce platforms, Amazon, eBay, Walmart and so on.. Amazon has raised the bar by tailoring its every operation around the customers’ needs and that is very challenging for others to beat. Well done Amazon!
