Christian Dior stands as one of my all-time favorite luxury brands. Remarkably, Dior has preserved its timeless and elegant feminine image over the years, maintaining a sophisticated style that resonates with all generations.
Despite the fashion industry’s efforts to cater to young Millennials and Gen Z and the trend of pleasing their styles, Dior remains true to its signature couture aesthetics, appealing to a wide range of tastes—including youngsters—without compromising its renowned, classic allure.
This article is dedicated to Dior Angel Customers, highlighting the brand’s top three most iconic handbags. Although Dior has not officially endorsed this ranking, reputable sources such as Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar have recognized these handbags as the most favorite in Dior’s collections.
Christian Dior’s handbags are celebrated globally for their exquisite craftsmanship, classy designs, and cultural significance. Among all the handbags Dior offers, three stand out as enduring best-sellers, enduring popularity, and celebrity endorsements. In fact, two handbags ranked in the third position, however it is for you to decide.
Please note that the prices listed below are based on Dior’s official in France and that they are subject to change at any time.
1. Lady Dior Bag

The Lady Dior bag is perhaps the most iconic piece from Dior’s handbag collection. Introduced in 1995, the bag became globally recognized after Princess Diana carried it. She was famously gifted the bag by France’s First Lady, Bernadette Chirac, which contributed to its name, “Lady Dior.” Known for its structured, boxy shape, luxurious leather and materials, and signature Cannage stitching, it quickly became synonymous with Dior’s sophisticated elegance.
Price: A classic medium-sized Lady Dior in lambskin starts at around €5,000. However, limited editions and exotic material versions can reach up to €8,000.
Celebrity Owners: Renowned for its timeless appeal, the Lady Dior bag has been seen on high-profile celebrities, including Jennifer Lawrence, Charlize Theron, and Marion Cotillard. Many own multiple versions, from classic black to seasonal limited editions, demonstrating its versatility and appeal.
Investment Value: The Lady Dior bag holds its value exceptionally well, especially the classic black and beige versions. Vintage Lady Dior bags, particularly those from the 90s, have increased in value and are sought after by collectors, making them a sound investment for luxury fashion enthusiasts.
2. Dior Saddle Bag

Created by designer John Galliano in 2000, the Saddle Bag was an instant hit with its unique, asymmetrical shape and equestrian-inspired design. While it initially experienced moderate success, Dior’s Creative Director Maria Grazia Chiuri’s reintroduction in 2018 catapulted it back to fame. The Saddle Bag now symbolizes the early 2000s and has become a favorite among both vintage enthusiasts and modern fashion lovers.
Price: The Saddle Bag is priced at approximately €3,500 for standard leather versions. Embroidered, limited-edition or exotic versions can range from €5,000 to €6,000 or more.
Celebrity Owners: A-list celebrities like Beyoncé, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Bella Hadid have embraced the Saddle Bag, often sporting multiple styles and colors. The bag’s distinct silhouette and fashion-forward appeal make it an ideal statement piece for any outfit.
Investment Value: Since its 2018 reintroduction, the Saddle Bag has proven to be a valuable asset in the luxury resale market. Limited-edition styles and sought-after colorways tend to retain or even increase in value, especially if they are in excellent condition.
3. Dior Book Tote

The Dior Book Tote, launched in 2018, became an instant best-seller due to its functional, spacious design and the brand’s ability to personalize it with custom embroidery. Inspired by Dior’s archival designs, Maria Grazia Chiuri created the bag to meet the needs of the modern, mobile woman. Its large, open-top design and bold branding make it a popular choice for both travel and daily use.
Price: In France, the Book Tote starts at around €3,200 for smaller sizes, while larger or personalized versions with intricate embroidery can reach €5,000 or more.
Celebrity Owners: The Dior Book Tote is loved by a diverse range of celebrities, from Meghan Markle and Jessica Alba to Chiara Ferragni. Celebrities appreciate the bag’s combination of fashion and functionality, often customizing it with their initials for a personal touch.
Investment Value: While it is a newer design, the Dior Book Tote has shown promising resale value, especially limited-edition or custom pieces. With its enduring popularity, it’s expected to continue appreciating in value, particularly for unique, well-maintained versions.
4. The 30 Montaigne Bag

The Dior 30 Montaigne Bag was introduced in 2019 also by Dior’s current Creative Director, Maria Grazia Chiuri. Named after Dior’s flagship store at 30 Avenue Montaigne in Paris, this bag embodies the heritage and elegance associated with the brand’s iconic address. It was designed to be both practical and sophisticated, blending the timeless elements of Dior with a modern sensibility. The 30 Montaigne Bag features clean lines, a structured silhouette, and a ‘CD’ clasp on the front, making it both eye-catching and instantly recognizable. It’s typically available in classic colors like black, navy blue, and white, as well as seasonal shades. The bag has an adjustable strap, allowing it to be worn as a shoulder or crossbody bag, making it versatile for both day and night looks. It is designed for the modern woman who values style and functionality.
Price: The Dior 30 Montaigne Bag starts at around €3,200 for a basic leather version. Prices increase with different materials, limited editions, and unique embellishments.
Celebrity Owners: The Dior 30 Montaigne Bag has garnered popularity among several celebrities, including Jennifer Lawrence, Karlie Kloss, and Chiara Ferragni.
Investment Value: While the 30 Montaigne Bag doesn’t have the long-standing history of the Lady Dior or Saddle Bag, it’s quickly becoming a favorite for those seeking a timeless yet contemporary handbag. Due to its iconic ‘CD’ clasp and association with Dior’s historic address, it holds a significant brand appeal. Although still relatively new, it has shown good resale potential, especially for limited editions and popular colorways. If maintained well, the bag can retain a substantial portion of its original value, making it a worthwhile purchase in the Dior lineup.
