In the summer of 2010, my family and I were on vacation in Italy. After a tiring day of driving from Milan to Florence, we arrived at the Four Seasons Hotel & Resort in Florence quite late at 10 pm. My daughter was hungry, having consumed all her food and snacks earlier in the day. As a picky eater, she had been quite discerning about the dishes I had offered her during our Italian vacation, so I was concerned not only about finding food at this hour, but also about her potential disapproval of the available options.
Fortunately, the Four Seasons Hotel concierge in Florence recommended a pasta dish that exceeded all expectations. To my delight, my daughter not only devoured it quickly but also declared it the best dish she had ever tasted.
While the hotel’s luxurious rooms were undoubtedly impressive, it was the exceptional service, warm welcome, and attention to detail that truly resonated with me. A few years later, I returned to the same hotel to experience their exquisite white truffle menu experience in November. Though the culinary experience was phenomenal, my daughter’s happiness during our initial visit remains my most cherished memory.
