It features a compression molded baffle with a proprietary Fidelity Glass acoustic panel, a cleverly designed back box enclosure, a JBL-branded acoustic crossover network, and spring-loaded connections. All of the components assemble into a surprisingly robust and aesthetically pleasing finished product that is easily installed like a standard drywall patch.

In the real world, however, the C83’s one-piece 6.5-inch woofer driver delivers performance that matches or surpasses the conventional in-wall or in-ceiling woofers found in most home entertainment systems today. In addition to the above-mentioned three full-range loudspeakers, the JBL Conceal Series includes a passive subwoofer and a pair of two-way ceiling-mounted speakers.
